Solomon Heights Academy follows the four-division curriculum model used by Casady School here in Oklahoma City — Primary, Lower, Middle, and Upper Division — adapted for a four-day co-op with at-home study days.

Every division reads whole books and writes about them, from picture-book retellings to seminar essays.
Mathematics with mastery
A vertical sequence from number sense to Calculus, with IXL practice assigned on Computer Day.
Science by inquiry
Hands-on labs and field study each term, building to lab-report standards in the Upper Division.
World language & culture
Spanish begins in Primary and continues to credit-bearing levels in the Upper Division.
Arts for every student
Studio art, drama, and design are part of the program, not an add-on.
Music, body, and spirit
Choir, instrumental music, fitness, and character formation round out the whole child.

Pre-K – 1st Grade
Primary Division
Play-rich, literacy-first classrooms where reading, number sense, and character habits are built together.

2nd – 4th Grade
Lower Division
Core skills deepen: fluent reading, written composition, arithmetic mastery, and first real research projects.

5th – 8th Grade
Middle Division
Departmentalized courses, a real assignment tracker, and study skills that prepare students for high school credit work.
- English: literature, grammar, and essay writing
- Mathematics: pre-algebra through Algebra I
- Life Science, Earth Science, and Physical Science
- World History, U.S. History, and Civics
- Spanish I (high school credit available)
- Computer science and digital citizenship

9th – 12th Grade
Upper Division
A transcript-ready, college-preparatory sequence with honors and advanced options, capstone research, and service hours.
- English I–IV with seminar discussion and research writing
- Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics
- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Environmental Science
- World History, U.S. History, Government, Economics
- Spanish I–IV; Latin or French by request
- Honors and advanced sections in core subjects
- Fine arts credit: studio art, music, theatre, digital media
- Senior capstone project, service learning, and college counseling
Our school year follows the OKCPS calendar.
Class days, breaks, and holidays are aligned with Oklahoma City Public Schools so families with children in both systems share the same days off. The full master calendar lives in the member portal.
